We knew each other when we were playing music in the Bay Area and after both of us stopped, our paths crossed again when we bought houses in the same East Oakland neighborhood. The 4 of us had wonderful times before we moved to Philadelphia and eventually to France. Hopefully our paths will cross again.

In her own words:
Not relevant to living in France at all, “The Best Thing About Today” attempts to track the inner thought process of a writer, English prof, mother, and wife, who prefers to live in the moment, but is fascinated by the way memory works – the way one memory triggers another related and often seemingly unrelated idea or memory. Topics include the author’s memories and thoughts on The Clash, birds, presidential politics, teaching and Chicanisma.

There is an RSS feed to my writing on Hub Pages. Hub Pages is a site where you can earn money by writing about things you know. They run your own Google ads on the site and allow you to add your own affiliate links for Amazon and eBay. I don’t think it will net me a huge amount of money but I have already earned a little bit there. At first I will probably rewrite some older posts but I will also write about things that are not really related to France or having moved to and lived in France. I am trying to focus this blog again on the experience of moving to and living in France.

Hub Pages is free to join. If you would like to try your hand at writing over there go for it. Click on this link and I’ll get credit for referring you. To read articles on Hub Pages you don’t need to be a member so if you would like to see my profile and articles click here. You might want to browse the site to see what is there.

BTW a hub is just a piece of writing centered around a topic. A hubber is someone who writes for Hub Pages. Scores help see which hubber is popular. Not popular in a junior high kind of way though. If you look at the writing of popular hubbers, the stories tend to be more interesting and well written, so start with those if you like. Anyway, I sometimes find answers to questions over there better than a Google search.
