About Us

Owen Peery 

I have done many professional things in my life. I was a teacher, a cook, an aerobics instructor, a personal trainer, a gym manager, a store co-owner. I have been an amateur musician, record label owner, web designer, intellectual, DJ, and many other things that I had professional aspirations for but fell short of achieving. Isn’t that the fine line between professional and amateur? I have lived in upstate New York, Berkeley, Oakland, Philadelphia, and now I live in Toulouse, France.

I never thought of myself as someone who needed a lot of change and craved variety, but looking back on my life I must conclude these things describe me aptly. Since I tell the same stories over and over, they are good ones at least, I figured it might be easier to create a blog, rather than subject Jean-Jacques to the torture of hearing the same story over and over. Here it is. It has already been commented that when I am in a good mood I write really funny posts and when I’m down I write serious things. Don’t remind me when I am down. The masses of humanity have always had to suffer. </sniff>
