Ex: replace "manger" par "boire" Verbe: manger=>j'ai mangé (participe passé) verbe: boire=>j'ai bu si on remplace dans la phrase originale, "mais pourquoi avez vous donc" boire" " ça ne marche pas, c'est "bu" qui est correct. Vulgar and arrogant don't cross my mind when thinking of the French, vulgar I reserve that for my fellow Americans. I'm really just surprised at how aggressive some of those little old French ladies can be, but it is amusing too, je m'amuse avec ce genre des posts. Of course, I know that, but I am also making fun of myself and foreigners who come to France unprepared to deal with everything, it is not just the French that come under my fire, trust me.
