Suzanne Vega at the Bikini in Toulouse
Suzanne Vega played at a local club called the Bikini in Toulouse. Jean-Jacques, Natasha, Eva, and I went to see her play. Suzanne Vega played all the hits but she also played many songs from her new album. The new songs were quite good but very different. The new songs are less pop and more jazzy than her pop hits. She played acoustic guitar and was accompanied only by an electric guitarist. Simple production and sparse arrangements gave the show a very intimate feeling. I always liked Suzanne Vega but was never a huge fan, after this concert I have to say I’m a big fan again.
