Bush impeachment hearing is beginning today led by the efforts of Dennis Kucinich. He may not be a viable candidate for president but he sure is a tireless crusader. Watch the video, write the letter he talks about, do something. Even if the impeachment hearing goes nowhere, bringing attention to the lies and omissions of the Republicans can only help in the coming months before the elections.

Unfortunately, the greatest opposition to impeachment is that of Nancy Pelosi, who has continually denied the necessity for it. She has consistently stated that it would cost to much and detract from other, more serious, matters that face the country. My question, which I wrote to her in an email that was never answered, was: Could it be any more expensive than the illegal Iraq war? What could be more serious than a President lying to the entire country to start an unnecessary war and not being held accountable for it? Congressman Kucinich may be able to get to the Judiciary Committee to present his case, but you can bet Nancy Pelosi will be right there to throw out as many road blocks as possible. I doubt if the impeachment procedings will get any further than the committee.
I’m sure it won’t go anywhere, but that it got that far seems to show how pissed off people are, from what I can gather from the news here in France. To think the Rep’s so feared her when she came to power, she turns out to be good for them. I saw a bumper sticker that said “would somebody give Bush a blowjob so we can impeach him?”
Kucinich is totally the man. He was my #1 choice the last two elections. Nancy Pelosi is nothing but a tool. I had (why, I wonder) hopes of things changing when she took over as Speaker. But then I had some hopes for Obama as well, but again he just seems more and more (as time progresses) to be part of the same machine… Ugh.

Wow – that’s the best bumper sticker ever. I would have totally printed that when I was making bumper stickers.
