Figeac is a lovely town where the Lot and the Aveyron intersect. We are spending this weekend in Figeac. It just so happened that the Tour de France 2008 was coming through Figeac this weekend. Figeac is a stop on the Tour de France 2008 on Saturday July 12th. An old friend is doing a stage in Figeac and we came for the long weekend. Here are some pictures of the lovely house his friends are restoring. I will have some better pictures soon.

Love the dogs! The little one is yours, right? And house restoration looks like a lot of work…
The little one is Kika, she is 15, the other ones is Balthus, and he is 2 going on 6 months. Actually the inside is mostly done and it is great but the outside is still happening. There are actually 2 other outbuildings, I don’t think it is clear from the picture. They have a grange and another building which will become a gite. The main house is mostly done and comfortable, but it was just 4 walls and a falling down roof when they bought it. I’m going to try to get a few pictures of the village and church you see whn you look out of the back of the house, it is quite charming.
