Le Bataillet in the Pyrenees
This week I am leading another residential English camp. Myself and another teacher, we take 12 students to a lodge and have 8 hours of English instruction each day spread out over the day. This time we have adults from all over France whose companies have sent them to maintain and improve their English. The setting is a lodge owned by the DGAC, the French Civil Aviation Authority. It is nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees. There is a swimming pool, basketball courts, soccer fields, volleyball courts, a jacuzzi, hiking trails everywhere, pool table, babyfoot, an enormous terrace overlooking the valley, etc etc etc. It is impressive. The French Civil Aviation authority owns it and also rents it to people who work for the authority at very low rates. A chalet here that sleeps 6 can be rented for 150€ for the week, the catch is that you have to work in some capacity for the authority. Pictures to come later this week.
I hope it was a fun and productive time for all involved. Sorry we missed you in Toulouse.
Fun, productive, and it gave me lots of fodder for writing on the blog, it will have to be next time in France.
