We missed the Photo Dump this Sunday
For those of you in France you will probably understand. The weather has been very gray and rainy throughout France this past week. For this past week I have not taken many photos. I have a few but I’d rather wait for next week and put a large gallery up. We leave for Biarritz on Friday and then to Bordeaux on Sunday night so this Sunday I should have quite a few beautiful photos of France. Of course this is true if and only if the weather decides to cooperate. *crosses fingers*

I have had a poster print hanging in my bedroom for more than 15 years, and it’s entitled something like, “Lighthouse walk at Biaritz” and I have always loved the scene high above the ocean with rocks and spray, and the women walking this path in their long white summery dresses. Take lots of photos so I can see how it looks now.

Biarritz will provide loads of material. Lots of old Hollywood glamour. One of those places you could imagine stars spiriting away to in smart costumes. At least that was my perspective.

Well, mom, let’s get that out of the way, I’m sure it will be gray and rainy so it will not resemble the print, the weather is not supposed to improve until the weekend. I can always hope though.
@Kim
I”m hoping for a new boost for things to write about. I haven’t been to the Atlantic Coast in France in a few years. I was hoping to go in the water. I have been dreaming of the huge waves that are supposed to be present in Biarritz. Maybe there will be big waves but because of the rain and wind. Oh well.

Soon the weather will be nice and all of us in other countries will be swooning with envy!

I’m sitting here with a little bit of writer’s block. I love the word swooning. It is inspiring me to so I may get a good post out tonight after all.

the waves were massive when I was there. unfortunately, not swimsuit beckoning massive, more like rain poncho beckoning. but it still was a sight to see.

The weather has definitely been not-so-good for the past week or so. But as I write this looking out the living room window, the sun is putting up a good fight, though it lioses once in a while. Plus, it’s a bit on the chilly side.

We are having the kind of weather here in Houston that you would wish to have there Owen. I’ll trade you. I’d rather a rainy Biarritz than a hot as hell and sunny to boot Houston. Take photos anyway. I’ve always wanted to go there.

The waves were massive here but that is also because it was rainy and windy. It was very nice and I have lots of pictures. I am a little behind in my posting because of being on vacation but I’ll soon have lots of pictures up. I’m not saying I’d like to switch and be in Houston but a little nice weather while at the beach would have been nice.
