Absolutely insane amount of snow and sleet falls in Toulouse today.

By Owen | May 15, 2008

Check out this photo gallery. Tonight, a large amount of snow and sleet fell. I have 3 news channels on and I am trying to beat them to the coverage. Look at all this snow. It was such a nice day today, what happened?

wow, I thought France was having better weather than us !!! I’ve been griping non-stop about the April/May snows and cold. Of course, this week-end, we FINALLY have a spot of warmth hitting us. But these crazy mood swings (weather-wise) appear to be hitting Mother Nature all over the planet. Hope you thaw out soon!

We have been having better weather than you, but just out of nowhere, we had this snow storm. WTF?

I have not seen any weather broadcasts covering it yet.

I haven’t seen any weather programs here in Paris because the TV channels in our apartment really suck. It did get a bit cooler here after a short, but ugly rain storm yesterday, but certainly no snow or hail.

It’s going to be 90 degrees tomorrow in Seattle.

Owen, I hate to be a stickler for details but that was hail yesterday, not snow. You can see another photo of it on my blog: http://cyberfrance.blogspot.com.

I heard that north of Bordeaux they had terrible rain but no snow or sleet, but they saw in the news the snow in Toulouse. Paris must have been less severe.

Seattle huh, are you sure it’s not going to rain tomorrow?

    Portland too?

There are still small piles of snow where it hasn’t fully melted. It has been colder so it isn’t gone yet.

HUGE is in the eye of the beholder. I had 140 inches of snow this past winter, and everyone said what a mild winter it was!

I know it is not really very much but since in the south of France it almost never snows this was a lot and since it was on May 15th, it qas as sensational as I made it sound.
