Toulouse- Big City, small town feel

The weather in Toulouse today was the most beautiful it has been since we have lived here. It must have been 23C or more. The entire city was out and about. Everywhere you went there were hordes of people sitting at cafes, walking the streets, riding bicycles, dancing the tecktonik, eating, drinking, not striking, etc. I think I know 20 people in Toulouse and I saw them all by coincidence today. We saw Carmen from niveau 2 walking near Place Salin today, we chatted in a mixture of French, Spanish, and English. A little later we were going to Cafe Classico in Les Carmes for a drink on the terrasse and we saw Claire my teacher from niveau 2. A little later while going to the store we ran into Beatrice my teacher from niveau 3. I have my fingers crossed that this is the real begining of Spring. How was your weather?

  2. Aujourd’hui le temps fera beau aussi, j’espere que Paris fera beauaussi pour vous. Le climat de Lyon est similaire que le climat de Toulouse? Je ne jamais visite Lyon, pas encore.

  3. You are right, it was an absolutely perfect day. Too bad I had to work. Yesterday I took a photo of the cafés that I must put on my blog.

  4. I spoke to soon. Today the wind was strong, the clouds were out, and it has even started to rain a little. While not horrible, it is not like it was yesterday. What will this week bring?

  5. Except for a couple of really cold (for us anything less than 20) days, the weather for the past four or five months has been gorgeous. Of course, it will become unbearably hot by mid-June, and remain like that until sometime in November.

    You’ll like Lyon. The only problem we had was that the restaurants all seemed to close so much earlier than other places. But the restos on Presqu’ile usually remain open a bit longer.

  6. Yesterday the weather was supposed to be good but it was only okay. We had 3 visitors stay the night and by the time we were done eating and were ust walking around, about midnight, the rain had stopped, it was warming up, and it was nicer. This morning? Back to being a bit chilly.

  7. Wonderful blog you have here! There’s a lot of great information you have here.

    Toulouse is a pretty city isn’t it!

  8. Weather? Don’t ask!! Snow again!!

    Meilleurs voeux!!

    Toulouse is very pretty. Someone just yesterday said, “but you should see it with a light dusting of snow”. I thought I better not see it with a light dusting of snow.

    @blueVicar
    No snow here yet. I guess it sometimes snows but just not too often, every few years. The weather has taken a turn for the worse though.
