Vélô Toulouse bicycle rental program part 4
Here is a map of the different stations currently in use. There are plans for a grand expansion of the program but right now it is focused on the center of the city. Does anyone know how to request a station near you? There are some drug dealers not far from our apt. They hang out in a public parking lot. I was thinking if there were a bicycle station there and more people walked past then they might move along somewhere else.
On the map, they look pretty close to each other, but when you know the distances between places, that’s not so true. You would probably have to get several people to sign your request to get any kind of reaction.
I was really thinking that I wanted to have a station near our house. The one at Place Dupuy is just 5 minutes by foot but having one at our entrance would be nice too. One experiment I’d like to try is to rent a bike ride it to school return it to a station within 30 minutes and see if you can really rent them for free for the first 30 minutes. If so I could use it everyday without having to pay.
