Toulouse Agenda 21

By Owen on March 8th, 2008

I have also been reading this blog, Agenda 21 Toulouse. It is in French but if you are at least at the advanced beginner level I think, I may be wrong, that you can read this. It is a listing of all things remotely “green” happening in Toulouse. It is administered by the Mairie, city hall, so the writing is sort of newsy in style but for me to read and comprehend it is great. I use it to read and translate for ideas about what to cover on this blog. Here is an excerpt of an article about solar panels.

I wonder how much better les équipements photovoltaïques are now then they were way back when. I read an article recently that claimed they haven’t made much progress in the development of the cells.. I suppose, like anything else, more effort will be made when and if more places start using them.

I imagine as well. I mean it would be more expensive to switch to other kinds of energy production in the short term but in the long term probably better for everything else. I guess that is the case some people make against the changeover to more “green” sources. It would be more expensive at first but over time it would not be. It is still a start.
