Bicycle Rentals in Toulouse
This is part 3 of the series of renting bicycles in Toulouse. I found a great in depth diagram about the bicycles. Click on the photo below to see it full size. The diagram is in French but is pretty easy to understand. If you have a specific question ask as a comment and one us will answer it, the beauty of crowdsourcing.
It’s funny. The French are simply incapable of doing anything simply.
Well sometimes that is good but often it falls into the “why did they have to try to reinvent the wheel” category. Although I’m not sure what you are referring to here because I think the bike program is great and not overly complicated. Maybe my description was, but the program is not.
The program itself is easy enough, I was referring to the picture with the descriptions. I mean, I don’t think it’s necessary to indicate that the brake will stop the bike, the handlebars are used to steer it, etc. If you don’t know that before you go off to rent a bike, you probably shouldn’t be doing that in the first place. God knows there are enough bad drivers on the roads already.
I generally use the brakes to turn the bike (over that is) and I use the handlebars to stop the bike (usually by running them into a wall - it works great - it almost always stops the bike, the person however sometimes goes beyond the bike).
