I’ve been tagged for page 123

Here is my page 123 post from The Non-Designer’s Web Book.

Spend a few minutes to put into words what the page looks like and how it affects you. When viewing a messy page, think about how it might look if things were aligned. On the next 10 pages you see, consciously note how the principle of proximity affects your instant impression of the page and what it is trying to communicate, both positively and negatively.

Not as fun as some of the other people who did this chain letter like thing but at least I was honest. I didn’t put something to impress you with. After the Historian and it’s 700 plus pages I jumped into some non-fiction.

PS edit, I am too lazy to explain it better so you can visit this blog to see how it works and what interesting things other people read. Feel free to add your own personal 123 in the comments here.

  1. Owen,

I like the sound of this book! I’m always interested in design instruction…wish I had a few books on this topic in my pile.

It’s a strange thing to pullout just a snippet from a book, isn’t it? Sometimes it is revealing about the book, sometimes not.

I’m glad to find your site.

    Meilleurs voeux!!

  2. I only participated because it was somewhat interesting. Normally, if chosen to participate, I would have cursed the one who chose me.

  3. Oh please don’t curse me, Bob!

  4. Maybe i didn’t understand the directions but it was pretty painless. I was mostly wishing I had some interesting book to have been reading. I did just finish the Historian, which was excellent. I highly recommend it. Ijust had an idea, I will write a review as a post.
