Andorra or Andorre

This weekend we will go to Andorre. I’ve heard conflicting stories about it. As you may know it is tax free. People say that because of this it has a cheap touristy quality to it. We have heard that you can buy things very cheaply there though. I guess we don’t expect too much from it. We hope to buy shampoos, soaps, cremes, and people say alcohol is cheap too. How much cheaper can the wine be, I mean wine is good and inexpensive here already. Maybe it is the hard stuff that is cheap. Since we don’t drink much of that, it might not matter.

The best thing about living here is how close we are to many places. Here are some links to older posts about all the place we have been in our short time here. Everything is so close.

There are so many other places we have been. I often forget to take the camera, like when we went to the Moulin a Creche. That was a fantastic place and I regret not having better pictures. Soon maybe we’ll even venture outside of France, or maybe to the north of France, but not until the weather is better in the north.

  1. It’s not that things are so much cheaper in Andorre (they might even be a bit more expensive), the real reason most French people go there is because they don’t have to pay tax on anything they buy. So in the end, even if it costs the same, or a bit more, as in Toulouse, Paris, wherever, it will be less in the long run.
