Another possible bad translation
This picture of a Tea salon was taken recently as we walked around Toulouse. How would you translate this? I have my ideas, I bet you have your own. I promise I’ll get over such childish things soon but still they amuse me.
I wonder if they have a branch in Montcuq?

Quite literally I have driven through the town of Montcuq.
I knew that’s what you meant. Of course I did. No, really, I did.
It wouldn’t be nearly as humorous if they just pronounced it differently. But, like you, I’m still amused at things like that. Here’s to never “growing up”!
Someone in France actually did a TV segment where he went around asking how everything was in “Montcuq”. You can find it on YouTube. Although it’s in French, it’s still hilarious!
I’m going to do a search for that and try to include it in an upcoming post.
