"If the first ammendment will protect a scumbag like me, you can be sure it will protect someone like you" Or some such thing he said in the movie as well. I think many Americans like the idea of the first amendment but don't think they will ever need to invoke it. It's kind of like the privacy issue. I've got nothing to hide so what do I care if the government snoops around my Google account or my library account, as the argument goes. I thought they were sensual or erotic. Yes Larry Flynt was a porn king but the pictures in the clip were not exactly pornographic. I think that is the problem America has. Anything slightly related to sex is considered obscene and pornographic. It is bad to be sexy. I think that was the point, most people would see those images and consider them wrong or bad. Why? Lust of any kind is a sickness? I disagree. Maybe you are talking about Lust as in the 7 deadly sins then according to religion they are a sickness but lust of any kind is a little extreme. I lust and I think I am not sick, I know that's debatable. The real question is why we seemingly tolerate war as a necessary evil but don't tolerate anything related to sex.
