We have most of the boxes unpacked and in place. We have gas, natural that is, so we have hot water and the stove works, we have the internet, we have internet TV, we have a fixed line phone that can call out but cannot receive calls yet, we are almost all set.

The big problem now is getting back to the blog and letting all our friends know what we are up to.

Briefly we rented a 2 bedroom apt on the top floor of a newer building in Toulouse. We are walking distance to everything in the center of Toulouse though I think we are technically about 2 blocks outside of the center of the city. We have a large terrace on the back side and a smaller balcony on the front side of the building. The whole wall facing the balcony is windows and gets great light. We have lots of windows on the backside and 2 entrances to the terrace. Jean-Jacques said that he always wanted to live in a Penthouse. It never occurred to me that it was a Penthouse apt. I guess it is. Unfortunately when I hear Penthouse I don’t usually think of a beautiful top floor apartment with terraces and pleasant views. That’s where we live, in a Penthouse.

We fit our grill, table and chairs, lounge chairs, plants , and a few other things on the terrace. We have stuff on the balcony too. It is really a lot of outdoor space too. We even have a garage for the car.

Pictures will be coming really soon. The weather has been nice but not too sunny so I wanted to wait until it was sunny for pictures.
