Forget Google, StumbleUpon it.
I forgot I had registered for a new targeted search engine/social bookmarking site about 3 years ago. I used it a lot for 6 months then forgot about it. Well I started again and it again and I love it.
If you are not interested in the social side of it, as I am not, you can still register your interest categories and stumble them. What that means is that you can say you are interested in independent media and then click stumble and it will find websites that are related to independent media. So far I have found many interesting sites this way, it is way more focused than doing a Google search.
You can even install a toolbar to your browser and stumble with one click.
Somehow it manages to bring you to sites you might never find. I have almost never stumbled upon a site I already knew about. Since I own the internet and know all the sites, this is a mighty feat. Try it and tell me if you like it.
