Labels and Tags
I’m trying out tagging posts. I wonder if this will help with SEO. I don’t know. I imagine if you do a Google search and if the search terms match some of the words used as tags that it might return my blog in the results. I’m trying to drive more traffic here. Any other suggestions. Maybe it doesn’t work that way. Who knows.
Ok, I’m dumb. What’s SEO?
ditto to wcs, plus what’s labels and tags. LP
S=search
E=engine
O=optimization
This makes it easier for people to find something when they do a google search. Say someone wants to do a google search and the use moving to france as their search terms. If I would like my blog to come up in the search results then I need to have moving to france a lot on my blog. Since writing moving to france over and over in the content of my posts might get a little tedious I can also tag various posts with moving to france. What I am telling the folks at google is that this post is about moving to france, even if those words are not used in that post.
Since I am trying to have ads and such on my blog and make a little money from it SEO becomes important. It helps drive traffic to your blog, that and having your friends and acquaintances send the link to their friends and encourage their “support” and readership
I would imagine that if I tagged every post of mine with moving to france and someone searched for moving to france my blog would eventually move up the list. You know when you get 177 pages of results. I may not even be buried in that pile, but if I tag my posts I have a better chance to move up. How many times have you waded through 177 pages of search results. The goal is to get up within the 1sxt couple of pages of results.
In a nutshell.
Merci.
