The Friday market in Le Buisson

During the nice months of the year the market is an evening market in the town square. Lots of prepared food is sold and you bring your plates and such to the square and picnic tables are set up. Everyone eats at the tables. As nice as it is now, it is not considered “nice” weather so the market is in the morning at regular market time. We bought a chicken roti, turkey roti, and a jarret du porc. Guess who was at the market, and who rode their bicycles. Upon closer inspection Jean-Jacques thinks they are not Dutch but maybe from Finland. I should have taken their picture now that I’ve been stalking them for a few days. I’m sure I’ll “run” into them again, I’ll take out my bicycle scanner and I’m sure to find them. Look at the delights of the market.

  1. The market pix are great, but I love the dalmatian! Animal photos kick scenery photo’s butt.

  2. The French are private people so I don’t take as many photos of animals as I’d like to. There are so many animals around that I could take millions of cute pet photos. The owners often look a little strangely at me when I do, as if to say, “Monsieur, haven’t you seen a small dog before?”

  3. great updates, we are very excited for you guys. definitely post a video on youtube if you get into the hiphop class!

  4. I would like to go to the hip hop class. I am not as motivated as the Dutch/Finnish couple though. In order for me to get there I would have to ride my bicycle up a big hill, the town is a bastide town situated on top of a high hill for fortification. They rode their bikes and so should I, but I am afraid riding there would be my workout and I’d have no energy for hipping and hopping like a bunny rabbit.

We are looking at small cars right now so if we get one I’ll definitely get there sooner, I don’t know about the video though, we’ll see.
