We bought our plane tickets

Everything is falling into place. We have plane tickets to leave on Friday evening, September 28th at 6:55PM. It’s finally happening, unlike sleep, which is why I am typing this at 4:18 AM. We fly on our Air France.

A funny thing happened to us on the way to sell our car. We got a buyer for the car. She went to her bank and got a certified check to pay us. We went to the Auto Tags place, for those of you not from PA you wouldn’t understand, frankly I don’t really either, and when we tried to complete the transaction the man asked for the title. Well we had the registration but all of our files and documents were in the container on their way to France. We were so upset because here this woman was, waiting to buy our car, and now we had to order a replacement title, which takes 4-5 days, and hopefully she won’t continue looking for a car and purchase one in the meantime. Funny it was not.

Cross your fingers.

  1. So you’ll be just in time for some Toulousain celebrations! Around 10 pm on the 29th there will be fireworks over the Garonne River to celebrate the centenary of Toulouse’s beloved Stade Toulousain. If you’re not too tired from your trip, you guys should try to come along as it should be rather beautiful to see.

  2. Well, we are going to be in the Dordogne, Le Buisson de Caduoin, when we first arrive in France. We will be in Toulouse as soon as we can find an apartment. My classes don’t start until January so we’ll definitely be there by then but we’ll make frequent trips to Toulouse to look around and try to find work etc. So I guess we won’t make it on the 29th. We are also flying to Paris and then driving to Le Buisson de Caduoin because we have a dog and a cat and we didn’t want to transfer planes with them. The celebration sounds nice though. We will be in Toulouse at the beginning of October to pick up a few things and we’ll get together then.

  3. Fireworks on the Garonne sound wonderful, I wish we could be there.
