Week of tortures ending

On Wednesday morning I had to return to the Emergency Room to have my wound checked. I was still in a fair amount of pain and it was still swollen. When Jean-Jacques changed the dressing on it he said that it was still inflamed. Guess what, the nurse on Monday didn’t do a thorough job. Guess what, more pain for me. I’m selfish like that.

Just removing the bandage the nurse could tell how much pain I was in. I got a shot of a pain reliever, more potent than the topical anesthetic I was given on Monday. This made it bearable as she had to lance and drain even more. Thanks to the drugs it was not as painful this time around. I couldn’t drive myself home due to the pain reliever so I had to call Jean-Jacques to come get me. Since then I have rapidly improved. I went back on Friday to have them check everything and it is healing quickly. Monday it is to the surgeon to see if I have to have it removed.

Wednesday nights root canal was very uneventful, with the excitement of the other events of the week, this was a welcome change. While I still have my health insurance and doctors whom I like I wanted to get all procedures over with before we moved. It sounds like a good idea, but I’d reconsider in the future.
