Week of tortures begins with a bang, or an impaling
Monday morning I was skipping around the house having a good ol time when I realized I was in terrible pain. Actually the sensitivity started on Thursday of the week before. The cyst had been there a while but never presented me with any problems. My dermatologist even said do nothing until it causes pain. Monday morning there was pain, and swelling too. I checked into the emergency room.
It had swollen to about 4 times its original size and was very red. After seeing Sicko I was prepared for the worst when I got to the ER. I was seen quite quickly and it was not an unpleasant experience, except of course the pain part.
Well, I had it lanced and drained. I’d post the pictures but we’d all get sick. No matter how much local anesthetic was used IT HURT. At least they didn’t say, “This won’t hurt a bit”.
I was getting sick of eating tomatoes everyday and wanting to add something new to my diet, but Percocet and antibiotics were not what I had in mind.
I’ll probably be okay, until Thursday at least. Thursday I get a root canal. My dentist said I could either experience excruciating pain or no pain at all. How reassuring. At least I’ll have my RDA of Percocet just in case.
I used to like sitting in cafes using the internet, not it is a torture. When will our neighbors be home so we can “share” bandwidth?
