Queen Kika

Kika is still as wonderful as ever. She has begun to slow down and limp more. It would be nice if some of you made some comments about her. I know many of you have had experiences with her. While I was photographing the garden she was out front with me. She kept going back to the door, always looking over her shoulder as if to say, can we go back inside now, don’t you like the central air conditioning? It has been pretty hot and humid lately.

  1. Hey guys it’s fun to read your ramblings. I am jealous I don’t have a garden like you but I can say ratatouille better than Owen so that makes up for it.
Anyway, we moved. Anh bought a house in rockridge and I rented mine. So we can walk to the public market and they are opening a Trader Joe where Lucky used to be. I still want to buy a place in South West France though (when we are finished cruising Mexico) so you might see us there one day.

  2. I am jealous that you are moving to Rockridge. I can’t believe you don’t or can’t have a garden like ours. The best gardens we ever had were when we lived in Oakland.

Trader Joes where Lucky, Albertson’s more recently right?, was. I am even more jealous. If we lived in one of our apartments we could walk to a Trader Joes but not here at our house.

Is there Trader Joes in France? No there is just consistently good food everywhere. We’re almost there.

  3. jeanne8,
I was rollerblading this morning around our neighborhood listening to my ipod. It reminded of the time we went skiing in Lake Tahoe. When we moved to Philadelphia I thought we would ski more often because it is closer to get to ski places. Haven’t been skiing since that time. Maybe the 4 of us will ski in the Alps sometime.
